Optem Zoom 70XL
7:1 Micro-Imaging CCD Lens System
Originally designed to endure the demands of microelectronics machine vision and automated inspection, the Zoom 70XL lens system has evolved with precision and flexibility into an effective CCD lens for a wide range of research and bench-top video microscopy applications.
The flexible modular design offers unparalleled optical, physical and functional versatility to meet most any microimaging need for your inspection, machine vision or research applications. Functional options include zoom and focus, (both of which can be manual or motorized) and illumination can be achieved through sub-stage (ambient), ring-light (oblique), or coaxial options.
Zoom 70XL delivers a 7:1 zoom ratio, covering an optimal optical magnification range of 0.75x – 5.25x and an optical resolution of 0.080 NA or 240 lp/mm at high-end magnification.
The components of a funtional Zoom 70XL lens system
Your Zoom 70XL lens system can be configured with many different combinations of optical and functional modules to yield a broad range optical performance and functional features. A functional Zoom 70XL lens system consists of the components below:
- Camera - Zoom 70XL can be effectively integrated with any number of C-Mount CCDs ranging from 1/4" to 1" chip format. Camera sold separately.
- TV tube - Establishes the connectivity to the camera, as well as optimal magnification and back focal length to image properly onto your camera chip. Available in physical configuration options including straight, mini, right-angle (inverting or upright), and u-bend to meet space constraints or system orientation needs.
- Upper zoom module - Contains the 7:1 optical zoom mechanics. Functional zoom options include: manual, manual detent, manual with iris (for enhanced light control to camera), DC or stepper motorized.
- Lower function module - Provides manual fine focus and/or coaxial illumination options. Note: When motorized zoom and focus are required, upper and lower modules are combined into a single dual-motorized component.
- Auxiliary lens - The optical component closest to the subject specimen affects magnification and working distance (the optimal distance from last lens element to subject being imaged). NOTE: Zoom 70XL does NOT require an auxiliary lens to achieve 1x magnification.
- Additional accessories - Depending upon the components selected, you may need to specify peripheral accessories including mounts, light sources, motorization controls, power supplies and cables. Follow the procedures on the pages that follow to specify your Zoom 70XL lens system.
