It is also possible to set the rotation angle to any value between 0° to 45° in this wavelength range in order to study the effects of varying degrees of feedback. Easy access is provided to the blocked beam by polarizing beam splitter cubes, which divert the blocked beam by 90°.
Removing the polarizers of the FI-x/y-5SI/-8SI turns this unit into a highly sensitive, adjustable Faraday rota-tor. Precision mechanics permit the exact reproduction of adjustments previously established and with the addition of an optional micrometer display, an angular resolution in the arc minute range is achievable.
The incorporation of very powerful magnets insures a compact and efficient design.
The isolator can be mounted on rods, cylindrical mounts or by using the assembly surfaces so that the laser polarization can be oriented horizontal or vertical.
The FI-x/y-5SV is delivered with an angle bracket for additional mounting possibilities.
The lateral exit window and the entry and exit polarizers are easily cleaned when the security rings are removed.
