In addition to custom built optical table tops, LINOS Photonics also supplies support systems and vibration-isolation systems modified or built to client specifications. Here are a few examples of what we are able to supply:

Height adjustments

Support systems may be optionally equipped with height adjustments that will allow leveling table tops supported on highly uneven floors.

Non-standard materials

Support systems fabricated from client-specified materials, e.g., fabricated entirely from non-magnetic mate-rial, are available on special order.

Non-standard finishes, such as paintwork meeting ultra-stringent cleanroom-compatibility requirements, are also available.

Non-standard support-system heights

If none of the broad range of standard heights proves suitable, LINOS Photonics will supply any type of support system in client-specified heights.

Micro-g vibration-isolation systems with greater load-bearing capacities

Micro-g vibration-isolation systems may be supplied in greater load-bearing capacities if applications should require.

All of our optical table tops are manufactured entirely in one plant. This greatly simplifies our supplying modified standard tables or custom table designs. Illustrated below are several examples of optical tables and coupled assemblies built to customer specifications.

Joined tables

Optical table tops are available in modular versions that may be joined together.

These have one or more of their sidewalls replaced by precision coupling mechanisms welded onto their structures. All tables equipped with coupling mechanisms are assembled and tested as units in the plant prior to disassembly for shipment. Optical tables equipped with coupling mechanisms may be joined in order to provide very large table surfaces and/or L-, T-, or X-shaped assemblies. Once assembled, joints created by joining tables are sealed using the metal strips provided.

All tables with thicknesses of 200 mm or more may be coupled together to form arbitrary configurations.

Coupling mechanisms must be welded onto table struc-tures during manufacture. They cannot be retrofitted.

Custom ports and cut-outs

In addition to our standard Laserport, we also supply modified tables having larger diameter ports, rectangular ports, and/or cut-outs.

We can also equip modified tables with studs and/or adapter plates for use in coupling them to other tables, or mating them to existing facilities or equipment.

Special materials

Optical tables may be fabricated from alternative structural materials, if required by specialized applications. The special structural materials typically used are non-magnetic stainless steels, aluminum alloys, and super invar, any of which may also be used in fabricating Clean-Top sealing caps, honeycomb cores, sidewalls, and/or bottom plates.
