The high-intensity UV fiber spotlight source LQ UV 1000 emits a spectrum of 250 to 450 nm without using any filters. UV fiber light sources are used for the most diverse applications besides illumination. In particular, these applications include curing plastics and adhesives, fluorescence excitation and irradiation in the biological, pharmaceutical and chemical fields. The use of a new, special HBO lamp with an ellipsoid reflector and dichroitic filter coating provides maximum illumination. Moreover, this fiber light source features a long life and substantially reduced heat generation. The lamp can be quickly and easily replaced without the need for special tools or additional adjustment. This series is compatible with any commercially available light guides and endoscopes just by exchanging the light guide adaptor.
